Last Friday at assembly the Junior Kapa Haka group performed for the first time. They were amazing and this Friday they will perform at JPC which is very exciting for them. On Monday we have a Teacher Only Day. Remember if you require care for your child tomorrow you can ring Maryanne Roling from Glenholme Afterschool Care. 💥 Welcome back to another Term! 💥 We trust you all had a wonderful break even though the weather was not the best. School Production Term 3 will be a busy term with our school production happening during week 10. All Kākano children will have a part in our production “Little Red Rocking Hood” and over the next 8 weeks will learn a dance they will perform with their class. More information will be sent out about the production later in the term. Three Way Learning Conferences: Week 2 of this term is our termly Three Way Learning Conferences. Please see the attached information on how to book. A paper report will be sent home with your child at the end of this week. The Three Way Learning Conference is an opportunity for you to discuss your child’s learning with the class teacher. Week 6 We are heading into the busy time of the year in our classrooms and across the whole school. The Totara team (Yr 5 & 6) has their camps this week in Taupo. We all hope the weather plays ball and they are able to participate in all the planned activities and have a safe and joyful camp. Back at school all the Kākano classes will participate in a street racket lesson this week. Street racket is a new and innovative game using a bat and ball.
