This term in Kākano 2 we are so lucky to be having and helping Mrs Symes. Here is an introduction to Mrs Symes. She will be joining us in class for most of the term!
💥 Welcome back to another Term! 💥 We trust you all had a wonderful break even though the weather was not the best. School Production Term 3 will be a busy term with our school production happening during week 10. All Kākano children will have a part in our production “Little Red Rocking Hood” and over the next 8 weeks will learn a dance they will perform with their class. More information will be sent out about the production later in the term. Three Way Learning Conferences: Week 2 of this term is our termly Three Way Learning Conferences. Please see the attached information on how to book. A paper report will be sent home with your child at the end of this week. The Three Way Learning Conference is an opportunity for you to discuss your child’s learning with the class teacher. We recommend children are present at these conferences as the children enjoy sharing their achievements with parents as well as setting new learning goals for the upco...
Kia Ora and welcome back! We hope everyone has had a safe and restful break. All of the teachers are looking forward to a busy and fun Term 4 with the children. Uniform Students are to start Term 4 in full summer uniform. Our Uniform Shop is open Mondays (8.30-9.00am), Wednesdays (2.30-3.00pm) & Fridays (8.30-9.00am) during term time. The girls’ summer dresses are currently only available from our school uniform shop. Please don’t forget children need to wear the school sun hats in term 4. We also sell school uniforms via our school website. You can order and pay online and pick up your uniform from the school reception after you have been notified by email that the uniform is ready to pick up. Hopefully, this will be easier for those parents who find it difficult to get to our uniform shop. Sunhats Sunhats are a part of the summer school uniform. Week 8 It is hard to believe we are now in the last few weeks of school. As always, we have a lots going on this week, please read through the notices to make sure you know what is happening each day. Monday: Junior school Big Day In Your child needs their swimming togs, sunhat, normal small morning tea, and $5 for our lunch. Optional is to bring a named water gun. All junior children can wear home clothes to school for our Fun day. Tuesday: Junior Tryathlon; 11:15 What to bring: bike/scooter, helmet, sneakers, togs. If Parents are available to help please contact your child's teacher. Wednesday / Thursday Normal school days. Friday: Year 0-2 Assembly; 2:05 Our children will be hosting our final school Assembly. Our Year 2 children will be organising the assembly with the support of our Year 0 and 1 children. Some children will be bring home ‘words’ that they will be saying at our assembly.
