Week 2 Term 2 Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences We have Three-Way Conferences (for Parent /Student/Teacher) scheduled for Tuesday 10 May and Wednesday 11 May. Families can choose the day that will work best for them. Students and their parent (s) need to attend a 10 minute appointment on one of these two days. Week 8 It is hard to believe we are now in the last few weeks of school. As always, we have a lots going on this week, please read through the notices to make sure you know what is happening each day. Monday: Junior school Big Day In Your child needs their swimming togs, sunhat, normal small morning tea, and $5 for our lunch. Optional is to bring a named water gun. All junior children can wear home clothes to school for our Fun day. Tuesday: Junior Tryathlon; 11:15 What to bring: bike/scooter, helmet, sneakers, togs. If Parents are available to help please contact your child's teacher. Wednesday / Thursday Normal school days. Friday: Year 0-2 Assembly; 2:05 Our children will be hosting our final school Assembly. Our Year 2 children will be organising the assembly with the support of our Year 0 and 1 children. Some children will be bring home ‘words’ that they will be saying at our assembly. Kia Ora Kākano whānau✨ We hope you have had a safe weekend in this stormy weather! It was so great to have all of the children start back at school this week. We had an awesome week getting to know the new classes. Thank you for all of your support with the covid protocols during this first week. Most of the children have settled in well and come in happily in the morning to complete their morning routines. It is awesome to see them being independent already and being able to say bye to parents at the gate! Swimming There is no swimming for our class this week. Recycling There is a creating station in Kākano where the children are able to use the hot glue guns to make new things. If you have any spare recyclable items that we could use please bring these to school for us to use! Anything like empty cereal boxes, egg cartons, empty plastic bottles and lids.
